LIVE CHAT is here ...and it is CHEAP and EFFECTIVE!
LIVE CHAT is being effectively applied at dozens of our dealerships and is SETTING SOLID APPOINTMENTS between our clients and car buyers.
Many dealers are dead-ending customers on a Credit App or formal request for a test drive, but mobile and cubicle-based CAR SHOPPERS WANT A LIVE CHAT OPTION!
Here are common issues experienced with the LIVE CHAT features offered by other automotive website design companies:
- Problem: Live Chat requests go unanswered; the customer just sits there, becomes frustrated (forming a bad impression of your dealership through a negative customer service experience) leaves the site site and mentally checks your website and dealership OFF THEIR SHOPPING LIST!
- Fix: The ChromaCars Fix: We added a login feature that will show the live chat buttons only when someone at the dealership is signed in and ready for chat.
- Problem: Not enough computers in the dealership or not enough of the sales force involved with the internet department.
- Fix: The ChromaCars Fix: Although computers are not on every desk they are a lot more abundant than in previous years and with the addition of our "assign cars to sales staff" tools we are spreading the Live Chat work load and getting more sales staff involved in the on-line merchandising process. This goes hand-in-hand with working a feature like Live Chat (in shifts).
Future upgrades to this tool...
We have added a video link to the staff page. This will allow us to have a video greeting for each staffer and then (when a person requests a chat session) we can have that staffer’s greeting play and kill some time until the staffer responds.
This one is a little more involved, but we are planning to add a text messaging feature. This way the people signed in will be able select PC or text, so if they are out on the lot or doing something else they can feel confident they are still able to monitor the LIVE CHAT feature.
